As we are starting to make plans in summer, and we are thrilled to bring you the Minim Ukulele Tokyo Summer Camp 2025! This year, our camp will take place in the heart of Tokyo at Nishimachi International School, offering an exciting blend of music, creativity, and cultural exploration.

Ukulele meets Matsuri!

A Matsuri-themed camp is the perfect way to celebrate Summer! Minim will bring their signature good vibes to the camp, and create a unique blend of ukulele learning together with Japanese cultural experiences.Children will engage in hands-on activities that culminate in a unique final showcase performance for families. Each day brings a mix of inspiring sessions designed to foster self-expression and teamwork.

What awaits for your child at camp!

There is much to look forward to for children to get inspired and excited to create their performances for their parents.
Children can look forward to the following programs for inspiration injection:

🎼 Ukulele Classes – Learn the fundamentals in small group sessions or build on your skills with peers!
🎯 Music & Matsuri-Themed Games – Fun and engaging outdoor games at the park
🎨 Japanese-Inspired Crafts – Get creative and make your own traditional Japanese crafts
🧪 Slime Workshop – A hands-on, sensory experience where science meets creative play!
🎎 Cultural Excursion – A full day of exploring Japanese traditions and culture! (details below!)


Unique cultural excursions for each camp

Each camp session includes a one-day cultural excursion, where children will dive into traditional Japanese food culture in a fun and interactive way:

🍜 Camp 1 (1st week July): Vegetable Harvesting & Nagashi Somen Experience

  • Harvest fresh organic vegetables from a local farm
  • Catch flowing somen noodles in a lively nagashi-somen activity
  • Enjoy homemade miso soup and make some onigiri. Learn why onigiri tastes better made by hand
  • A hands-on introduction to sustainable farming and Japanese culinary traditions

🍡 Camp 2 (last week July): Vegetable Harvest, Mochi Pounding & Mochi Hana Craft

  • Experience traditional mochi pounding—a favorite for both kids and parents!
  • Learn about miso-making and its amazing health benefits
  • Create a mochi hana flower craft to take home
  • Enjoy a delicious meal of fresh organic vegetables and homemade miso soup

Location: Nishimachi International School

Camp 1: June 30 – July 4
Camp 2: July 21 – July 25
Monday to Friday

Camp Timing: 10:00 – 17:00
(excursion day on Wednesday will be 0900-1800)

👧👦 Ages: 3-6, 7-10 (Toilet-trained children only)
Children above 11 years old and above may join the camp as assistants, at 30% off camp fee

🎭 Theme: Ukulele meets Matsuri!
🎶 Capacity: 5-20 children per session
🎤 Showcase: 1630-1700 on the last day of camp

Lunch is not included at the camp, but we plan to offer a catered lunch option at additional cost. The details will be confirmed at a later date.
Lunch is included on excursion day!

Please bring your own ukulele.
Ukulele rentals are also available at 5,000yen for the duration of the camp.

Camp fee: JPY 128,000 + tax
Siblings enjoy a 10% discount off camp fee from the 2nd child.
Parents can join the excursion at 30,500yen.
