Hello Minim Family, we hope you are well! 

The Music Academy Instrument Recital was held last month, and we are still basking in the memories of that special day. Every year, it is our joy to bring children together to share their music on stage and watch them grow - not just as young musicians, but as confident individuals.

This year’s theme was “My Favourite Things”, and it was truly inspiring to see how each child expressed themselves through their chosen pieces. Their stories gave us a glimpse into their hearts and personalities.

An interactive collection of the children's song choices according to the theme: My Favourite Things!

The display opens up to reveal the reason why children chose that song.

We loved to read about their music choices this year, based on the theme My Favourite Things!

This year, we had a mix of piano, ukulele, voice and violin performances. We loved the mix of instruments performances.

Sammy played "My Universe" by Coldplay on the Piano. 

"This song makes me happy. My brother when he was younger listened to the song and I like it too. I like how one of the parts goes back to the beginning so it makes it more longer. "

Yitong performed "Can't help falling in love with you" on the Ukulele.

"Because this song is featured in Lilo and Stitch, and I like Stitch!"

Shun performed "Allegro" on the Violin

"It is the best song I know and I love the melody!"

Mion performed "From the Start" by Laufey on the voice. 

"Minnie Mouse is sweet, stylish, and known for her loving heart. "From the Start" captures the awkwardness and butterflies we feel around someone we secretly like, something Minnie would understand, with her shy but caring love for Mickey. That’s why she’s the perfect match for this song."

Annie performed "Roses" by  Jenna Raine, on Piano and Voice

A Stage for Growth

Recitals are never just about flawless performances. They are about learning to set a goal, practicing with purpose, and sharing one’s music with courage. We are so proud of every performer for stepping up to the stage and giving it their best!
