WOODWINDS SPECIALIST
Emil
Emil is a multi-instrumentalist with more than 15 years of teaching and performance experience.
In Indonesia, he was an instructor at Yamaha Music School, Farabi Music School and Bina Bangsa International School. He has made TV appearances playing for orchestras and jazz bands.
Emil plays Saxophone, Clarinet, Flute and Oboe, and looks forward to inspiring love for these instruments.
FLUTE SPECIALIST
Caylie
Caylie has been part of the Minim team for over two years, teaching Math, Science, English, Ukulele and Flute. With a BSc in Biochemistry from the University of Maryland and teaching experience in Japan, she works wonderfully with children, bringing structured guidance, patience, and calm support to help every student build confidence and clarity in their learning.

Do I need to own an instrument?
Yes, students will need their chosen instrument for regular practice. We are happy to provide guidance on renting or purchasing a quality instrument.
A rental instrument can be arranged for the first lesson if needed. However, students will be required to purchase their own mouthpiece attachment for hygiene purposes.
Which woodwind should I choose?
We can discuss the characteristics of each instrument during your trial lesson to help you decide.
What age can start woodwind lessons?
Typically from age 9-10 for most woodwinds, when hands are large enough to cover keys comfortably.
