Terms of Service
Last updated: April 2026

1. About These Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Minim website (www.minim.family) and enrollment in Minim programs. By accessing the site or enrolling in any program, you agree to these Terms. These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan.

2. About Minim

MINIM K.K. ("Minim") provides private lessons and after-school enrichment programs across a range of subjects — including music, mathematics, language, and more — at international and private schools across Tokyo.

3. Eligibility

After-school programs are open to children enrolled at Minim's partner schools, or as otherwise specified per program. Private lessons (Academy) are open to all children residing in Tokyo. The parent or guardian completing enrollment must be 18 years of age or older and have authority to enter into these Terms on behalf of the enrolled child.

4. Enrollment

Enrollment is confirmed upon receipt of full payment. Places are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Enrollment is per term unless otherwise stated. Minim reserves the right to cancel a class if minimum enrollment numbers are not met, in which case a full refund will be issued.

5. Payment

All fees are listed in Japanese Yen (JPY) and include consumption tax (10%). Payment is due in full at the time of enrollment. Accepted payment methods are listed at checkout and on our Notation Page (特定商取引法に基づく表記).

6. Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellations and refunds are accepted only in the event of unforeseen school events or closure. All refunds will be processed via bank transfer at the end of the school year (June–August). For further details, please refer to our Notation Page.

7. Program Changes

Minim reserves the right to:

- substitute an instructor with a qualified replacement without prior notice;
- modify program schedules due to school calendar changes, public holidays, or unforeseen circumstances; and
- cancel individual sessions due to school closures, weather, or other factors outside our control.

Where sessions are cancelled by Minim, we will make reasonable efforts to reschedule. Refunds for cancelled sessions are at Minim's discretion and handled on a case-by-case basis.

8. Photography and Media Consent

Minim may photograph or record classes for use in promotional materials, social media, and internal documentation. By enrolling, you grant Minim permission to use images or video in which your child may appear, unless you notify us in writing that you do not consent. To opt out, please contact contact@minim.family.

9. Code of Conduct

Students are expected to participate respectfully and follow the instructions of Minim instructors. Minim reserves the right to remove a student from a program without refund if behavior is deemed disruptive or unsafe, at the discretion of the program coordinator.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Japanese law, Minim's total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or program participation shall not exceed the amount paid by the customer for the relevant program. Minim is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

11. Intellectual Property

All content on the Minim website — including text, images, program materials, logos, and branding — is the property of MINIM K.K. and may not be reproduced, distributed, or used without our prior written permission.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will always be posted on this page with the date of last update. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
